The Bolshoi Brothers

The Bolshoi Brothers are Trevor Tanner (lead vocals, guitar) and Paul Clark (keyboards) who first collaborated as members of The Bolshoi on the album Friends released by Beggars Banquet Records.

The album included a song called Sunday Morning that became a number-one hit in Brazil and Argentina. Their next album Lindy’s Party expanded the band’s reach into new territories and with another album in the works the band split as 1990 dawned. Trevor and Paul released several solo albums and collaborated with other musicians.

Now, hot on the heels of two new vinyl releases from Beggars Banquet Records, The Bolshoi’s previously unreleased album Country Life and the re-release of their seminal album Friends comes the self-titled debut album The Bolshoi Brothers available on 180 Gram Vinyl, Cassette, CD and digitally on most streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

“The Bolshoi Brothers is a case of the same but different. It is easy to hear some of the original band in the music; how could you not? But this is certainly a new beginning, too, and for every familiar sonic catch you hear at least five more fresh and forward-thinking ideas.” Dave Franklin – The Big Takeover

“Despite its dark shades, The Bolshoi Brothers never feels brutal or depressing. There’s also a warmth here, particularly in the production, which rejects current bombast in favor of organic dynamics.” Skylight Magazine

“This is far from an exercise in nostalgia. A welcome listening experience, with hints of the familiar.” Iain Key – Louder Than War

“The ideas, pregnant with moods and matured exposures to the thickening of thoughts at arm’s length with philosophy, are set free by talent.” Alex Dematteis – Musicshockworld
