Brian Casey

Professor C is the moniker of composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and music educator Brian Casey.

Since landing his first national ad placement as a college student, Brian has been composing, producing, and collaborating to create music for all varieties of media ever since. A recipient of an ASCAP TV and Film Award, Brian’s music has been used thousands of times on television shows, films, promos, trailers, and advertisements over the past 20 years.

As an artist and producer he has released music in several collaborative projects including the art-pop band Glorious Monster, dance act Man is Doomed, synth-rockers Blue Blazer, yacht-pop group Dek Shüz, his psychedelic rock releases as Brian Casey the Destroyer, and the progressive funk pop band HUES. He has also worked as a cowriter and producer with dozens of artists including Lazerbeak, Nikola Bedingfield, PaviElle French, Lady Midnight, Maria Isa, Sofia Eris, TT the Artist, Ernest Third, Sims, Aby Wolf, Doug Otto, Brianna Kocka, Becky Shaheen, The Twins of Franklin, Palms Psalms, Envy, and Michael Schwandt, to name a few.

He is also an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas where he teaches song-writing, composition, contemporary pop theory, and music media. Brian finds joy in both the creative process of making his own music, but also the engagement and interaction with his students. He believes that compelling and effective art is the result of the energy cultivated in creativity, experimentation, and collaboration.
