LIGHT ASYLUM is the internationally revered dark, electro-punk music project of interdisciplinary performance artist, founder, vocalist, producer and beating heart Shannon Funchess. Founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2007, cathartic performances have frenzied audiences from underground raves, museums and art galleries to music festivals and nightclubs. With a passion for collaboration, Funchess has joined forces with peers around the globe, lending her vocals to studio albums, live performances, remixes and production for artists the likes of The Knife, Tv on the Radio, Elysia Crampton Chuquimia, LEECH, LCD Sound System, !!! (chk, chk, chk), ADULT., Yves Tumor and Laurie Anderson.
